Rating
Rating is a member's measure of skill against other members. It is calculated as follows:
- All new members start at a rating of 1500. They are not rated until they have competed against at least one other member.
- Your rating is calculated based on whether you out-shoot members on opposing teams. Shooting public does not affect your rating.
- The most you can gain or lose from competing against another member is 20 points (at 1500 rating). That means you can gain or lose 20 rating points per member you are facing, not per game.
- If someone's rating is higher than yours, you will lose less points if they out-shoot you (to a minimum of 1 when your difference is 200 or more).
- Conversely, if someone's rating is lower than yours, you will gain less points from outshooting them (again, to a minimum of 1).
- As you approach 1000 or 2000 rating, your rating will change more slowly. At 1000 or 2000, the most you can gain or lose is 5 points per matchup.
